Rachel Mooney from the Friends of Hilly Fields will present an extended version of the talk she gave at our Trees in the City conference in May 2014 about the history of Hilly Fields. It is a fascinating talk and highly recommended.

We found this remarkable photograph in the Brockley Society archives: a massive group portrait of the men, women and children who gathered on Hilly Fields, Brockley, in August 1918 after a procession commemorating the start of the First World War. Inspired by this photograph we plan to take a new one on Sunday 19 July 2015, inviting anyone who lives in or feels any connection with Brockley.
