When: Staurday August 3, 12 noon – 6pm.
For over 40 years, from 1973 until 2016, Lewisham Way Centre provided a safe place for black young people to come together: a place of refuge and joy during the 1970s, 1980s and beyond.
The Centre provided support, training and activities for the local black community for all age groups during a time when the New Cross and Deptford areas were a notorious hotbed of National Front activities and racist arson attacks.
